Emergency Dentistry in Prince George

If you need emergency dental assistance, call Wellhouse Dental. Before visiting us in Prince George for emergency dentistry, you should thoroughly rinse the area with warm water. Further, you should floss teeth properly to remove any food stuck between your teeth, which may be causing this pain. Finally, applying a cold compress to the outside of the mouth may reduce swelling if any.

Tips to Help You in an Emergency

If your tooth is knocked out including fillings, crowns, and veneers, you should first rinse off the chipped or disconnected fragments with cold water. In such a case, try to put the tooth back in, ensuring it is facing the right direction. You should not force the tooth in or remove any fragments that may be trapped in the mouth.

If your tooth does not fit properly into the mouth, you can keep it in a small cup of milk (or water with a pinch of salt) to preserve the tooth until you meet the dentist at Wellhouse Dental. Your tooth may be successfully reattached if it is professionally treated within an hour of being knocked out of your mouth. If you are unable to successfully reattach the lost tooth, you may need to discuss the alternatives such as an implant with your dentist.
